738,658. Valves. GORDON & CO., Ltd., J. Sept. 14, 1953 [Sept. 18, 1952], No. 23472/52. Class 135. A piston valve 2 controlling the operation of a pneumatic motor co-operates with a pressure inlet port 1 and two working ports 7, 8, the latter, besides being connected to the motor, each connecting with an auxiliary exhaust passage 11, 12 containing an auxiliary valve 17, 18. These auxiliary valves each contact a lever 19 so that, when valve 2 is moved to apply inlet pressure to one of the working ports, the auxiliary valve associated with that port is shut by the incoming pressure fluid and the other auxiliary valve will be opened to provide the motor with a larger exhaust passage. The normal exhaust passages 9, 10 are situated outside the working ports.
