Abstract
1370246 Valves ADEOLA AG 29 Nov 1972 [30 Nov 1971] 55217/72 Heading F2V A valve for supplying fluid to one face of a piston while connecting the other face to exhaust comprises first and second pairs of conical surfaces 2d, 4g; 4f, 6f into which passageways lead from ports 2c, 1a, 1c and 1d respectively, and wherein port 1d is connected to a port 8a via a valve 7f, 9a and a port 1b connects a reservoir 14 with the space between surfaces 4f, 6f. The passageways which lead into the two pairs of surfaces are alternatively closed by closure members 11 and 10 respectively and the member 10 is connected to the member 9a such that when the passageway leading from port 1d to the surface 6f is closed, the passageway from 1d to the port 8a is open and vice versa. On the working stroke, pressure fluid flows via line 13a, forces member 11 against surface 4g and flows through 5a to port 1c and hence to piston chamber 12b. The pressure of the fluid also forces member 10 against surface 6f and a certain amount of the fluid flows into the reservoir 14. With member 10 against surface 6f the valve 7f, 9a exhausts the fluid from the piston chamber 12c. On the idling stroke, pressure fluid is cut off in line 13a and the pressure of fluid in chamber 12b forces member 11 against surface 2d and the fluid is then exhausted via port 1a. Exhaustion of chamber 12b and pressure of fluid in reservoir 14 forces member 10 against surface 4f, thus closing valve 7f, 9a. The fluid in reservoir 14 then flows through port 1b, channel 5d and port 1d to the piston chamber 12c to push the piston back into the initial position.
