Abstract

737,345. Winding webs. JAGENBERGWERKE AKT.-GES. July 23, 1953 [July 24, 1952], No. 20452/53. Class 100 (1). A reel bar 9 is withdrawn from the fibre core 19 on which a web roll 1 has been wound by means of a support 10 carried by an arm 11. The arm 11 is fixed on a shaft 12 axially slidable in a hollow shaft 13, the outer end of the shaft 12 carrying a bearing 22 supported on castors 21. An arm 17, carried by the shaft 12, supports the withdrawn end of the reel bar 9. The shaft 12 is then rotated, after withdrawal of the reel bar, by gears 14 and 15 into a position, such that the reel bar 9 is inserted into a fresh core 19 supported by arms 20 which then convey the core 19 and reel bar 9 into winding position between winding drums 2 and 3. A lowering device 7 can be swung about an axis 6 to lower wound rolls from a support 5 to floor level after they have been removed from the drums 2, 3 by an ejecting device 4.
