Abstract

245,324. Stack, M. J. April 14, 1925. Lap-forming apparatus.-The core rod 9, Fig. 3, upon which a roll of cotton batting prepared as described in Specification 241,803, [Class 94 (i), Packing &c.], is mounted for unwinding, is provided with plugs 10 to support the hollow core 3 of the roll, and with ferrules 11 to engage brackets 6, Fig. 1, mounted on a stand 4, to prevent longitudinal movement. The brackets 6 carry anti-friction rollers 7 upon which the ends of the rod 9 rest.
