Abstract

339,844. Duff, R. P. Jan. 23, 1930. Roll cases.-A case or box for holding and delivering square or otherwise shaped pieces of cloth, or other sheet material, includes a roll 2 of the pieces formed by winding them in overlapping relation, the former or core of the roll being supported on a spindle 6 the ends of which engage in vertical or vertically inclined slots 7 so that the roll is always maintained in frictional contact with a subsidiary roller 4. The pieces 1 are held on the core 5 by a thread binder 3 which unwinds as the pieces are removed and is wound up on the roller 4. The box 12 has a hinged front panel 13 and a hinged top 14 to permit access to the rollers.
