Abstract

712,280. Winding yarn. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES. July 24. 1952 [July 26, 1951], No. 18813/52. Class 120(2) A winding apparatus comprises a supporting frame 9 for the winding-on bobbin 16, the frame 9 being removable from the apparatus, with the wound bobbin, to permit the bobbin to be doffed from the frame when the frame is outside the apparatus. Frame-guiding members 1, 2 attached to the machine are furnished with curved grooves 3, 4, in which are positioned rollers 17, 18, the grooves 3, 4 being deeper at 37, 38 to facilitate the introduction of the frame 9, which is supported by rollers 5, 6 and pins 7, 8 also fixed to the machine frame. The frame 9 carries bushes 10, 11 which mount centering plates 13, 14 for carrying the winding-on tube 15, and threadcatching grooves 24-27, and also the rollers 17, 18. A longitudinally movable shaft 12, also fitted in the bushing 11, carries the plate 14. The frame 9 provided with lifting handles 28, 29, is raised with the growth of the package 16 so that its centre of gravity is moved to maintain substantially constant bearing pressure upon the package-driving roller 36 (not shown). A spring 22 urges collars 21, 23 against the grooves 3, 4 to prevent bouncing of the package. The shaft 12 is locked during winding by a pin 35 operated by a spring-pressured lever 32 and released by tinger pressure for doffing.
