Abstract
737,207. Pneumatic separation. MIAG VERTRIEBSGES. March 31, 1953 [March 31, 1952 ; Nov. 13, 1952], No. 8821/53. Addition to 713,349. Class 117. The material separated out at the enlarged section 11 of the main air stream of the parent Specification and collected in chamber 12 is subjected to a further pneumatic separation in an auxiliary air stream provided in a secondary tube 30. This air stream is drawn from the adjustable inlets 35 and from the duct 7, connecting the first coarse fraction space 23 and the outlet duct 5, through a lateral tube 37 provided with an adjustable throttle 36. Separation at the enlarged section 11 is facilitated by the inverted bowl-shaped structure 31 at the top of the main tube 1 and the separated material in chamber 12 passes down the outlet pipe 13 and through a flap valve 32 into the auxiliary air stream. The fine fraction removed by the latter passes the inspection window 38 in tube 30 and an adjustable throttle 39 into the main air outlet duct 5, while the coarse fraction is withdrawn from the sluice valve 33 at the bottom of tube 30.
