735,699. Hot-water supply systems. FOW. LER, L. J., and WEATHERFOIL HEATING SYSTEMS, Ltd. Nov. 24, 1952 [Nov. 23, 1951], No. 27576/51. Class 64 (1). Heating apparatus for buildings comprises a unit consisting of a casing 11, a calorifier 16 and a heater unit 23 within the casing, an air inlet 12 and outlet 13 and a fan 120 combining to supply air to the building, pipe connections for linking the calorifier with the heating unit and for connecting the calorifier with a hotwater system, a cold-water supply 25 for the calorifier, and a hot-water supply from the calorifier for connection to hand-basins or the like. The apparatus shown has the hot-water supply and return mains connected to the casing adjacent the tank 25, these mains being connected to the calorifier and heater by way of pipes 27, 28 and 29, 30. A pipe 32 from tank 25 supplies the calorifier with cold water. The exit pipe 33 from the calorifier is associated with valves 34, 37, a by-pass 36 leading to the bottom of the calorifier, a cool water storage vessel 39 with by-pass 40, and a pipe 42 adapted to be connected to the hand-basins ; this arrangement is similar to that disclosed in Specification 669,075 and ensures that water of reasonable temperature is delivered to the hand-basins. A pipe 44 from tank 25 is connected as shown to provide that properly cooled water is delivered even when the vessel 39 has become exhausted.
