Abstract
734,611. Discharge apparatus. ERICSSON TELEPHONES, Ltd., and ACTON, J. R. Jan. 2, 1953, No. 109/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 39 (1). In a gaseous electric discharge tube wherein a discharge may be maintained between an anode and a cathode so mounted that the whole of the space between their discharge surfaces is occupied by the gaseous filling, and particularly in the multi-gap cold cathode counting tube described in Specification 712,171 or in the cold cathode voltage regulator tube described in Specification 701,378, the gaseous filling is an argon-free mixture of neon and helium at a pressure of the order of 40 mm. of mercury and contains not less than 0.02 per cent and not more than 50.0 per cent of neon.
