732,987. Tractor-trailer couplings. LOESTER, R. A. Aug. 19, 1953 [Sept. 11, 1952], No. 22838/52. Class 103 (5). A hitching attachment, for tractors having a power lift mechanism which includes a pair of draft links 1 bridged by a cross-bar 3, drop links 4, and a hitch hook 7 provided with a cross-pin 8, comprises a converter frame of trapezium shape having sides 11, a draw-bar 12, and a transverse member 15. The frame is pivoted to the cross-bar 3 so that connecting links 20 may either support the frame in a substantially vertical position as shown dotted in Fig. 3, or hold the frame in an inoperative position as shown in full lines, the stay 17 being disconnected. Specification 665,827 which is referred to, describes and shows a power lift mechanism to which the converter frame may be attached.
