[Also in Group XXVII] A device for distributing measured quantities of fuel to internal-combustion engine cylinders of the type comprising a shuttle b reciprocated by fuel pressure in a bore in a rotary valve a provided with appropriate inlet and outlet passages, is characterized in that the valve a rotates in a cast-iron barrel-member e which is loosely fitted in a main body part f of aluminium and is sealed by sealing rings i, h, and radially arranged pipe connectors m for the fuel delivery pipes are inserted through the body part f into engagement with sockets in the barrel e. The fuel enters through a connection p and is delivered alternately to opposite sides of the shuttle b by the passages in the valve a, the stroke of the shuttle being controlled by an adjustable stop d. The valve a and barrel e are maintained in position by a screwed cap j and the pipe connectors m are fitted with sealing rings o, n.
