Abstract

727,101. V-belts. DAYTON RUBBER CO. April 28, 1953, No. 11691/53. Class 80 (1). A V-belt comprising a tension section 14, a neutral axis section 11-13 and a compression section 10 has in addition a base layer 15 comprising transverse cords adhered to the base of the compression section 10.. These cords are preferably coated with or embedded in a thin layer of rubber and may be of rayon, cotton or nylon. The neutral axis section comprises spaced longitudinal cords 12 between gum cushion layers 11, 13 and the tension section comprises a plurality of layers of bias fabric. Specification 233,815 [Class 80 (1) ], is referred to.
