A foot-arch support comprises layers 1, 2 of air and watertight, untearable artificial elastic material fused together round their edges to form an air cushion, in a hollow space 3 in which an .elastic rubber pad 4 is glued to the lower layer 2. The hollow space 3 may be provided with a valve to allow air to be pumped in. A renewable layer 8 may be provided as a hammertoe support between the front part of the layers 1, 2.
