Abstract

A Ti-base alloy consists of: Mo 0.5-16 per cent; Mn 0.5-16 per cent; the balance, which is at least 70 per cent, Ti with impurities. A preferred alloy contains 2-10 per cent Mo and 2-10 per cent Mn. The alloy may be hot-rolled at 1450 DEG F. and aged at 750 DEG F. for 4 hours.
