Abstract

725,342. Hinges &c. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., March 13, 1953 [March 18, 1952], No. 6984/53. Class 65 (2). [Also in Group XXIII] The tubular arm 11 of a grab 28 is supported in an aperture 9 in a screen 7 by a pivot having universal movement. The arm 11 is rotatable and may be movable longitudinally in a sleeve 36 which has on its outer surface a spherical part 37 supported in two rings 38, 39 in the aperture 9. An annular member 40 secured to the wall holds the parts in position. The rear part 32 of the movable jaw 26 of the grab fits into a forked recess in the body 28 which has the fixed jaws, and is rotatable about the pivot 29, the jaw being urged into open position by a blade spring 27. The jaws of the grab are closed by a draw cable which is passed through bores in the grab body 28 and the tail 32 of the jaw and secured by a nipple 33.
