Abstract

724,707. Air-blast switches. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. March 17, 1953 [March 19, 1952], No. 7288/53. Class 38 (5). The series of main breaks 9 of a circuit-breaker are located in compressed-air containers 1 and are shunted by a series of voltage dependent resistances 4 connected to the breaks 9 only at the ends -16, 17 of the series of breaks. Auxiliary gaps 11 in series with the resistances are also arranged in the containers 1. As shown, resistances 4 are arranged in insulators 12 extending through the container walls and carrying the final contacts of gaps 11, but in a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the resistances are supported by the insulators 7 which each support one contact of the main breaks 9.
