723,228. Draught excluders. COSSENTINE, F. A. B. Feb. 23, 1953 [Nov. 21, 1951], No. 27362/51. Class 20 (3). A draught excluder comprises a strip of compressible material enclosed by a metal strip 12, part 20 of which is bent at 18 to form an abutment for the operative portion 22 of the compressible strip and the metal strip is made of a material which can be bent to enable portion 22 effectively to block a widened part of the gap to be sealed. Burrs 26, formed by punching holes 24, assist in securing flange 10 within the strip. The side 14 of the strip 12 may be omitted, in which case the flange and strip are joined by adhesive, or eyelets in the fastening holes 24.
