Abstract

1299077 Lead frames for semi-conductor devices C BRANDAUER & CO Ltd 14 April 1970 [24 April 1969] 20907/69 Heading H1K A lead frame for a solid state circuit includes an outer rim 9 with at least one lead strip 15 extending inwardly therefrom, the strip 15 including a portion 17 having parallel longitudinal edges and a neck portion 19 joining the portion 17 to the rim 9 and having a longitudinal edge 20 which joins and includes an obtuse angle with one of the edges of the portion 17 and which also intersects the produced median line 22 of the portion 17 at an acute included angle 23. The angle- 23 is preferably 25-30 degrees, and the neck portion 19 of the strip 15 is ultimately severed from the lead frame along a line 26 which includes an angle of 50- 60 degrees with the edge 20 of the neck portion 19. An alternative shape for the neck portion 19 is disclosed.
