Abstract

720,684. Firearm barrels. AKTIEBOLAGET BOFORS. Feb. 9, 1953 [Feb. 11, 1952], No. 3589/53. Class 119. A firearm barrel comprises front and rear parts 1, 2 secured together by a threaded sleeve 3, the length of the rear part 2 being substantially equal to the length of the cartridge casing and the rear end only of the front part 1 containing a replaceable liner 7. The liner 7 has a flange 8 located in a recess at the rear end of the part 1 and is secured by locking pins 9. Threads 12 on the part 2 serve for attaching it to a breech ring.
