Abstract
720,115. Pressure gauges. K.D.G. INSTRUMENTS, Ltd., and HARRISON, A. Feb. 27, 1953 [March 11, 1952], No. 6336/52. Class 106 (2). The movements of a pressure-responsive element 21, Fig. 1, in a fluid-tight casing 10 are transmitted to an element outside the casing 10 by a U-shaped lever 17, the lever 17 being secured in a fluid-tight manner to a flexible wall 16 of the casing and being otherwise unsupported. The whole is so arranged that the lever 17 engages the element to be moved at a point which, throughout the limits of movement of the various parts, remains close to a line which extends through the point of engagement of the transmitting member 17 with the pressureresponsive element 21 and parallel to the movement of that member. In Fig. 2, the limb 18 of the U-shaped member 17 is telescopic and is pivotally connected to the centre of the pressure responsive element 21.
