760,538. Pressure-gauges. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Aug. 5, 1955 [Aug. 10, 1954], No. 23182/54. Class 106 (2). In an arrangement for for transmitting accurately the pressure of high temperature steam at or near atmospheric pressure to a recording point, the point M at which the pressure measurement is to be taken, is connected by a fall pipe of sufficient width to allow the flowing off of any condensate, to a vessel T having an overflow D, the instrument B being connected to the fall pipe at a point near the liquid level in the vessel T. In another embodiment an additional rising limb is interposed between the recording point and the instrument B and a non-condensible gas may be admitted into the additional limb.
