819,388. Turbines. BROWN, BOVERI & CO. Ltd. March 4, 1957 [March 3, 1956], No. 7081/57. Class 110 (3). [Also in Groups XIX and XXXVIII] An indicator for a steam or gas turbine comprises two thermocouples 5, 6, located in the wall 1, 2, of the turbine housing, one being nearer to the path of the driving fluid 3, than the other, and an electrical meter 7 for indicating the temperature difference between the thermocouples and the relationship of the difference to a predetermined value. The temperature difference between the thermocouple 5 and any one of several spaced thermocouples 6 may be indicated by selecting the required thermocouple 6 through a switch 9. Marks 10 indicate safety limits appropriate to each thermocouple 6.
