Abstract
1,068,868. Indicating-apparatus. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G. m. b. H. Aug.7, 1964[Aug.12, 1963], No.32217/64. Heading G1J. The operational condition of a steam turbine is monitored by observing the point of intersection of two pointers against a chart 18 showing suitable relationships between the values indicated by instruments measuring the temperatures of the steam and the casing. High-pressure-flange temperature and intermediate-pressure-flange temperature are sensed by elements 11, 12 and applied through transistor amplifiers 21, 22 to crossed-pointer instruments 16, 17, while the live-steam and reheated-steam temperatures are sensed by elements 13, 14 and applied to the instruments 16, 17 through transistor amplifiers 23, 24 with sources 20 of constant voltage suppressing the zero points. The chart 18 may also be divided into sections providing instructions for the avoidance of inadmissible operational conditions.
