A wrought article having good impact strength at temperatures below 0 DEG C. is made of a steel, alloy of the following composition: C up to 0.25 per cent.; Mn up to 2.0 per cent.; Si up to 1.0 per cent.; Cu 0.25-1.25 per cent.; Ni 0.5-5.0 per cent.; Cr 0.25-3.25 per cent.; Al 0.08-0.3 per cent.; N 0.013-0.03 per cent.; Fe, and incidental impurities, the balance.
