Abstract

715,873. Suction end-catchers for spinning &c. machines. BUHLER-KRAYER, H. Sept. 29, 1952 [Sept. 28, 1951], No. 24390/52. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) Thread suction apparatus for spinning and twisting machines comprises a flat suction nozzle 6 terminating in a slot and extending over a plurality of spinning or twisting stations. The nozzle forms part of a suction duct 4 communicating with a fan 10. Preferably, the housing 4 is disposed between the supply bobbins 2 of a double-sided machine and extends at the bottom along the machine for a distance covering many spindles. Side portions 5 lead from the housing 4 to the vicinity of the threads and, by reason of the width of their openings, are capable of drawing in dust and the like from a large area. It is stated that, where clearer rollers are employed, the air current may feed broken ends to the rollers.
