Class 135 A non-return flap valve comprises a casing a, Fig. 3; with opposed seats d, e and a flap member o pivoted on a frame l movable by a shaft k to permit the flap to engage either seat, or to an intermediate position allowing unrestricted flow through the casing in either direction. The bearings m, n, Fig. 4, in the frame have elongated holes for the axles p, q respectively, of the flap. The shaft k may be rotated by a lever v having a locating member co-operating with three abutments w on the casing, or by remote means, e.g. an electric actuator. Projections r, s limit pivotal movement of the flap. In another arrangement, the flap has spigots x, Fig. 16, engaging slots y in the frame, to further limit its movement.
