330,873. Fabrik Elektr. Apparate Fr. Sauter Akt.-Ges. Dec. 27, 1928, [Convention date]. Electrically-actuated valves. -A throttle valve actuated by a reversible electric motor 1 has the motor arranged to act through a snail cam 9 co-operating with a lever 11. The lever is loaded by a spring 13 and is coupled by a link 20 to an arm 19 on the spindle of a butterfly valve 15. The cam may be shaped so that the valve is opened in proportion to the angle of rotation. The lever 11 and link 20 may be dispensed with, the arm 19 bearing directly on the cam. In addition to a hand controlled switch, a reversing switch may be arranged to be actuated by the motor at the end of its movement so as to prepare the device for the next actuation.
