Class 34(2) [Also in Group XI] An oven for drying organic materials at different temperatures has an air inlet 9 at the base, an air outlet chimney 10 at the top and several electric heating elements 6 arranged to maintain the temperature of the air stream at a maximum near the chimney. Removable imperforate baffles 7 constrain the air to follow a zigzag path, and at least three heating elements are used, each extending across the oven immediately below a baffle. The elements have increased ratings from the lowst to the highest element and may be constructed as in Specification 714,576, [Group XI]. The oven may be lined with asbestos and have a glass door.
