713,460. Axial flow fans. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. Nov. 13, 1951 [Nov. 13, 1950], No. 26588/51. Class 110(1) [Also in Group XXXV] An axial-delivery motor blower is suspended within a pipe by means of resilient sound-damping material, such as rubber, inserted with. initial compression between the motor and the pipe wall, the resilient material being in the form of two or more substantially radial and relatively narrow arms. Three rubber arms 6, of streamlined cross-section, are connected at their respective inner and outer ends to the motor 4 of a ventilating fan 3, and to a short, separate length 5a of ventilating duct by means of cylindrical or tapered pins 7, 8. The length 5a is secured within a rubber hose 11 by means of a clamp ring 13, and the hose is secured to the main duct 5 by means of clamp rings 12. In a modification the length 5a is dispensed with and the arms are vulcanized to the rubber hose. The arms may be shaped to serve as guide vanes.
