Abstract

710,213. Spray carburetters. USTAV PRO VYZKUM MOTOROVYCH VOZIDEL, and BOTTGER, J. May 7, 1952 [May 24, 1951], No. 11523/52. Class 7(3) A fuel injection nozzle 2 injecting fuel undre pressure into an inlet branch 6 of an intake manifold or an intake channel in the cylinder head is mounted on a shoulder 1 in the wall of the conduit 6 to leave a shallow cylindrical space 3 at the end of the nozzle, the space 3 having an orifice 7 for the fuel jet and being connected either to the atmosphere by ar orifice or orifices 4 or in a supercharged en gine, to the outlet o: the supercharger. The flow of air through the passages 4 anc chamber 3 in the idling and lower en gine speed range im proves the atomiza tion of the fuel.
