Abstract

1344127 Spray carburetters FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 14 Dec 1971 [ 4 March 1971] 58002/71 Heading F1B An angularly adjustable member 20 in the induction passage 12 upstream of the throttle valve 14 defines with the rounded inlet end portion 26 of the passage a variable Venturi and an annular fuel nozzle 28 opens to the passage at or adjacent the throat of the Venturi. The member 20 is adjusted by a vacuum servo 40, having a diaphragm 48 subject to the vacuum at port 56. An idling mixture supply system opens to the passage 12 downstream of the valve 14.
