Class 135 In a mixing cock, e.g. for hot and cold water, the ratio of the fluids passing the valves 14 to the mixture outlet 11 is controlled by rotation of a spindle 31 passing through a gland 35 into the cock casing and carrying a frusto-conical cam 33 having its axis inclined to the spindle axis and acting inversely on the valves, e.g., through rockers 23, while the mixture output is varied by moving the spindle axially. The spindle is frictionally held in its operated position by spring fingers 37, and is rotated or moved axially by a lever 46 pivoted at 44 on the spindle and bearing at 47 under a casing flange 43.
