Class 80 (2) In a friction clutch comprising a disc 7 splined on a driven shaft 9 and deposed between a ,driving flywheel 1 and a presser plate 5, the clutch being normally engaged by springs 4 but being provided with radial disen. gaging levers 18. the plate 5 is connected to the cover plate 3, secured to the flywheel, by flexible strips 14 and each lever 18 is pivoted by a pin 19 to the plate 1 and by a pin 21 to one end of a link 22 the other end of which is pivoted on a pin 26 having eccentric end portions held in a recess in the cover 3 by a plate 29 secured to the cover by screws 30. The inner ends of the levers are held against a release ring 24 by springs 23 and straps 25. The pins 26 may be turned, after loosening the screws 30, so as to provide adjustment; alternatively, the pins 26 may be welded in position after adjustment, the plates 29 being omitted.
