Class 69 (3) A nozzle 3 for a dry-powder fire-extinguisher has an inlet passage 5, a valve chamber 6, and an outlet passage 7 leading to an expansion chamber 35. A conical diffusion member 8 is mounted with its apex directed towards the oncoming powder, and comprises two opposed cylindrical orifices 44, 45 in its wall through which powder streams past to meet within the diffusion member and form a fan-shaped stream. A valve member 9 is moved from its seating by a lever 31 pivoted at 26.
