667,087. Fire-extinguishers. FOAMITE, Ltd. Jan. 26, 1950. [June 2, 1949] No. 2077/50. Class 47 (ii). In a powder fire-extinguisher, powder is expelled from a container 1 through a hose and nozzle by means of compressed gas released from a bottle 14 mounted on a containerclosure unit 10 exteriorly of the container. The neck of the bottle 14 is secured in an aperture 12 of the unit 10 by a nut 23 and gasket 21 and extends into the upper end 9 of a gas-distributer tube 7 secured in the container 1. The bottle 14 is provided with a valve 17 operable by a lever 27 on the closure unit 10. The extinguisher is provided with a pivoted carrying handle 29.
