705,541. Liquid-electrode cells. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK. May 2, 1952 [May 5, 1951], No. 11103/52. Addition to 667,447. Class 41 In a cell according to the parent Specification the mushroom shaped member 7 inserted through the base for conducting current to the liquid electrode 5 is constantly urged against the layer 2 of chemically resistant, electrically insulating and impervious material at the base of the cell, e.g. by a spring 10 bearing against a disc 9 mounted on the shaft of the member 7 and adjustable by nut 8, thereby maintaining a seal irrespective of changes in the condition of the layer 2. The 'cathodic supply connection may be to the lower end of the shaft 11 of the member 7 or may be made via the spring 10 and the cell 1 when the latter is of conducting material.
