[Class 41.] Electrodes.-A plate or other shaped electrode b of graphite or other material is provided with a currentsupply and supporting member a having a screwed, coned or like connection, all the interstices such as d, e, f at the points of connection being filled with a plastic or fusible filling material which is impenetrable by and insoluble in the electrolyte in order to avoid local electrolytic action. A difficultly fusible wax such as ceresin may be used either alone or mixed with other waxes. Finely ground graphite may be added to the filling material to reduce the resistance at the contact.
