Abstract

675,799. Anodes for electroplating. BINAI, W. R. March 6, 1950, No. 5630/50. Class 41. An anode for electroplating is of elongated cross-section and has a socket to receive the lower end 11 of a supporting member 13, a shield 15 of electrolyte-resistant insulating material overlying the upper plane surface of the anode, and a sleeve 20 of electrolyte-resistant insulating material surrounding the member 13 and at its lower end being in close contact with the shield. The shield may be provided with downwardly-extending ears 16. It may be wholly of insulating material or, as shown, it may be formed of a metal stamping 17 completely covered with rubber or similar insulating material 18.
