705,535. Chairs &c. MORRIS BROS. & SIMMONS, Ltd. Feb. 9, 1953 [Feb. 25, 1952], No. 4881/52. Classes 52(1) and 52(4) In a chair, settee, or the like, the seat frame 1 is pivoted at 2 to the front of the main frame and is suspended at its rear by springs 3 or the like from a bar 6 secured to the upper crosswise rail 4 of the chair back. Springs 3 may support the back cushion or upholstery. The frame 1 is fitted with transverse springs enclosed either in a common housing or in individual envelopes 9a. Arms 8 may be springy. According to the Provisional Specification, 'the springs 3 may be pneumatic or hydraulic and the pivot at the front of the seat may be replaced by a spring suspension.
