Abstract

677,593. Rocking chairs. STOOKIN BROS., Ltd. March 7, 1951. [July 3, 1950] No. 16563/50. Class 52 (ii). A rocking arm chair comprises a bottom frame resting on the floor, an upper frame comprising a seat carrying side arm frames and a back rest frame the side members of the seat sloping upwardly from the front where the seat frame is hinged to the bottom frame, and springs arranged between the rear of the seat frame and the bottom frame. As shown the bottom frame 1 has hinged thereto at 5 a seat frame comprising sloping side members 4 and transverse members 2, 3, 8, springs 6 being arranged between the seat and bottom frames. The seat frame carries a sloping back rest frame and side arm rest frames and is provided with upholstery springs 15. The lower part of the chair is provided with a covering 22 and the chair is upholstered and provided with a cushion 17.
