Abstract

704,831. Clothes airers. FABIAN, J. June 6, 1952, No. 14395/52. Class 52(5) [Also in Group XXV] A radiating arm type clothes airer comprises a number of arms 5 pivotally connected to a holding device 8 and supported by struts 6 pivotally connected to the upper end of the stand, the arms being held in their extended position by a manually releasable locking lever. The holding device comprises a tubular element 9 having a holding plate 10 to which a locking lever 11 operated by a spring 12 is pivoted. When the arms 5 are in their extended position the nose 11a of the lever engages a projection 1a on the stand. A press-button 14 attached to a rod pivoted to the outer end of the lever can be operated to release the lever.
