Abstract
717,989. Brackets for draughting-machines. CHAUVELON, A. J. F. June 25, 1952, No. 15937/52. Class 97(3) [Also in Group XXV] A bracket for releasably supporting a draughting-machine on an edge of a drawing board comprises two flanged jaws 1, 2 of which jaw 1 is frxed to a spindle 3' while jaw 2, through elongated openings in the flanges thereof, is pivoted about the spindle 3 against the action of a spring 4, the spindle passing at its mid-position through a yoke 6 attached to the jaw 2 and being pressed against the yoke by the spring 4. The jaw 1 is pivoted at 11, 12 to a U-shaped member 13 carrying a clip 25 engaging under hooks 27, 28 mounted on a plate 14 to which is secured a second plate 15 to which are pivoted the limbs of a parallel linkage of the draughting machine. Each limb of the member 13 has two depressions 23, 24 engageable by a button 22 on a leaf spring 18 to hold the member 13 in one of two positions at right angles.
