Classes 83 (3) and 83 (4) Work-holders. - A clamp for a sheet stretching machine comprises a body 1 to which are pivoted, by abutments 2, gripping plates 3 with corrugated faces. The plates are swung to grip the sheet by depression of a lever 6. The abutment portions of the body 1 are dimensioned to provide flexibility and to yield during working to compensate for difference in sheet thickness.
