Abstract

614,954. Work-holders. ADAM MACHINE TOOL CO., Ltd. (Maschinenfabrik Akt.-Ges. Lachen). July 2, 1946, No. 19697. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 2, 1946.] [Class 83 (iii)] A dog-clamp comprises a dog 1 and a clamping jaw 4 with coacting bevelled faces, and a clamping-screw 6 engaging the dog through an enlarged hole 5 in the jaw so that, on tightening the screw, the jaw is laterally displaced to exert a lateral clamping force. The bevelled faces are serrated, and a return spring 7 is provided. Bolts engaging holes 8 clamp the dog in a T-slot in a machine table or the clamping screw 15, Fig. 7, may serve to clamp the dog.
