[Also in Divisions B4 and E2] A toggle clamp comprises rigid stationary adjustable guide means 21 for engaging the clamping bar 10 to stabilize it in its clamping position. In the clamped position shown, the bar 10 is engaged by a stop 17 and the toggle link pivots 15, 16, 19 are aligned. The guide plates 21 are bevelled at their tops and can be drawn together to eliminate clearance by a screw 23. U.S.A. Specification 2,054,572 is referred to.
