Abstract

703,590. Endless-chain conveyers. DEMAG AKT.-GES. Feb. 28, 1952 [March 22, 1951], No. 5256/52. Class 78 (1) The side plates 1 of the driving head are connected by tubular members 6, Fig. 3, the reduced ends 8 of which take into apertures 9 in the plates. Flanges 7 on the members 6 are secured to the plates by bolts 10. The driving motor 12, Fig. 2, is mounted on a bracket secured to the outer face of either of the side plates and is connected by a mechanical or hydraulic coupling 13a to a gear box 17 bolted to the side plate. The shaft 3 carrying the driving sprockets 4 is connected by gears 20, 15 enclosed by a casing 21 to a shaft 14 extending from the gear box. This shaft passes through a projecting part of the gear box which takes into a corresponding aperture in the side plate.
