Class 141 A method of manufacturing a sleeved knitted garment from separately formed sleeve and body portions 3, 1, at least the lower part 4 of each sleeve-body seam lying in a straight diagonal line from the armpit upwards across the chest is characterized in that the sleeve and body portions are cut from normal knitted fabric and the seam part 4 is formed by stitching together the portions with their edges facing in the same direction and folding back the edge parts 1a, 3a and stitching each part to its portion of fabric at 6 and 7, giving the appearance of a fullyfashioned garment. The upper part 5 of the sleve-body seam may be vertical or extend to the neck opening' 2.
