Abstract

1397490 Underskirt W W ARTZT 11 Dec 1973 [25 Oct 1973] 57448/73 Heading A3V Sleeveless undershirt blanks 16 are cut from a tubular knitted fabric 10, oval openings 20, 22 are cut for arm and neck openings respectively, and the blank is then folded across the shoulder straps 28 and the edges are seamed at 32 to form the garment. The edges of the arm and neck openings and the waist are turned back and stitched with longitudinally stretchable stitching. The fabric preferably comprises a base of stretch nylon or other synthetic yarn, with a random arrangement of loops of cotton or synthetic yarns to give it a shaggy appearance.
