701,194. Connecting-rods. BODDA, C. March 13, 1952 [April 4, 1951], No. 6553/52. Class 122 (1) In a connecting-rod and gudgeon pin assembly in which a bush 1 surrounds the pin 2 and engages an opening formed in the end of the rod 7, or a liner secured in the said end, the opening and the bush are substantially rectangular in cross section and their upper and lower engaging surfaces 4, 5 are arcuately curved lengthwise on a centre 6 located in the centre line-of the rod. In a modification the centre 6. is on the opposite side of the gudgeon pin to that shown in Fig. 2 and liners having engaging faces conforming to the curved surfaces of the bush are fitted between the bush and the opening in the rod.
