Abstract

740,663. Wall-plugs; locking-nuts. MORTENSEN, L. A. Oct. 28, 1953, No. 29804/53. Class 89 (1). A wall &c. plug comprises a sleeve 1, Fig. 1, of deformable material, e.g. caoutchouc or a synthetic thermoplastic material, provided at each end with a bushing 3 of metal and bored to receive a bolt 4. The end faces 10, Fig. 3, of the bushings are cut to form flaps 11 adapted to engage the lateral face of either the bolt head or the nut 8 to prevent its rotating relatively to the sleeve. As shown, the nut is held and the head 13 is spaced from the flaps by a washer 14, whereby the bolt may be screwed into the nut to expand the sleeve. The ends of the flaps have points which engage washer 14 to prevent its turning relatively to the sleeve.
